Why this exists now

On 1 October 2026, Google Search Central said people should fact-check AI-written pages before publishing, including titles, meta descriptions, structured data and alt text.

The EU AI Act, Article 50(4), does not require an AI label on public-interest text when a human has reviewed it and a person or company takes editorial responsibility.

What the stamp means

It means a named person signed that they reviewed this version. The record stores fingerprints, the checklist, and the sources they named. It does not store the article.

A record is the reviewer's own signed statement. It does not prove that every fact is true. It is not legal advice, and it is not an endorsement by Google or anyone else.
